The death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The death of HM The Queen comes with great sadness and is particularly important for those in the Church of England, of which The Queen was the Supreme Governor.

We take this opportunity to thank God for all she did to serve this country and our Church.

Books of Condolence are now available in all of the churches in the Churn Valley Benefice for anyone who would like to express their sympathy or sadness or to perhaps share a cherished memory.

Prayer cards are also available.

Gracious God, we give thanks

for the life of your servant Queen Elizabeth,

for her faith and her dedication to duty.

Bless our nation as we mourn her death

and may her example continue to inspire us;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
