The Good Friday Pilgrimage took place in reasonable weather - a bit windy, but only a few spots of rain. There were around 25 people who took part, of whom 6 walked the whole distance from Coberley to Stratton. We were delighted to welcome Julian Wilson on the walk, with his wife and daughter joining us for part of it. We look forward to them working with us following his installation on 28 April. The photo below shows some of the walkers having just visited Cowley church. Links to copies of the Meditations and Route maps can be found at the bottom of the page.
Thanks to all those who took part, and especially to Gill and the team for laying on hot-cross buns and drinks at Stratton.

Our annual Good Friday Pilgrimage around the churches in the Benefice takes place on 3 April. As in recent years, the walk will be in two parts: Keen walkers can start at Coberley at 9:00am to visit the churches in the Northern end of the Benefice. We will meet at Colesbourne church at 8:45am for travel to Coberley by car. This part of the walk will take in Coberley, Cowley, Elkstone and finish at Colesbourne. This will give us time to have some lunch and get to Rendcomb for the walk around the Southern end, starting at Rendcomb church at 1:00pm.
Approximate timings are as follows (though these will depend on walkers' speed!)
North section: Coberley 9:00, Cowley 9:45, Elkstone 10:45, Colesbourne 12:00
South section: North Cerney 2:00, Bagendon 2:30, Baunton 3:30, finishing at Stratton at around 4:30pm.
As usual there will be a short meditation at each church. If you wish to register your interest in taking part, please contact Mark Venn.
