CVB Hardship Fund

One of the central tenets of the Christian faith is to ‘Love God – and love your neighbour’. During this year of lockdown there have been many examples of neighbours showing love, maybe by shopping or picking up prescriptions or making donations to foodbanks. Despite this we know that some people have really struggled due to the Pandemic and are in a desperate financial situation. So, we have set up a Benefice Hardship Fund to allow us to respond quickly to urgent need. The fund will operate confidentially but be overseen by clergy and churchwardens. We have already received some contributions to start the fund but would welcome any donation you could make. You can donate using the details on the flyer that comes with this notice and will appear in our church porches or, if you could make a more substantial contribution, please contact David: dlkminns@gmail.com. Alternatively, if you know of someone who needs help in these difficult times, do let us know. Jesus encourages us to give generously where it is needed, and that is especially appropriate at this season of Lent.

Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble’

[Psalm 41 NLT]
